Realtors “Just Open Doors”

“Realtors just open doors.” I have lost count as to how many times I have heard someone say this. There is a common misconception that realtors simply open doors and don't do much work beyond that. I could easily be offended by the statement but instead, I take it as a compliment…..in the broader sense.

In reality, real estate agents offer a wide range of services to their clients throughout the home buying or selling process. Many times you won’t see or know of the things some agents do behind the scenes. I am not trying to put myself in the spotlight but put your home in the spotlight. If I have an appointment to show your home, I am going to arrive early to check to see if your pool needs skimming. I am going to open the blinds to show off the natural light. I am going to check on your home after a storm, and if needed, roll up my sleeves and pick up branches and debris from the yard.
That is just how I am and what I do.

My husband took this of me one Saturday
when he accompanied me on an appoointment.

So, while literally opening doors is certainly part of my job, it's just one small aspect of all the hard work and dedication that I put into helping my clients achieve their real estate goals by metaphorically opening many other doors.
So yes, I open doors and my goal is to open MORE doors.

Need to increase showings? Open more doors.

Can't find the right buyer? Open more doors.

Can’t find my client the right home? Open more doors.

Client needs minor home repairs and doesn’t have a handyman? Open more doors.

Looking to attract new clients? You guessed it, open more doors.

For me, opening more doors means getting more opportunities, allowing potential buyers and sellers to see what you have to offer. Plus, every new door you open could lead to a new opportunity or connection that you never would have otherwise. So, any time someone says that as a real estate agent, I “just open doors”, I will take it as a compliment and an example of being my key to success in the real estate industry.

It’s not just about me selling a home; it’s more about someone buying YOUR home.

It’s not only about the houses for me, but helping people.
